“The Game” (2017)
Released on mobile to go with season 2, this little pixel adventure game imitates the 8-bit console games of the time: you explore the town, the lab and the forest with Hopper, then with each member of the group, each with their talent, Lucas's slingshot, Nancy's crowbar. Free, with no ads, it contained clues about season 2. It is still the fans' favorite, for its simplicity.

“3: The Game” (2019)
Released July 4, 2019, the same day as season 3, on consoles and PC, it replays the whole season as a two-player top-down action game, in the style of 16-bit games: Starcourt, the hospital, the steel mill, the Russian base, with twelve playable characters, including Eleven, Steve, Robin and Erica. It revealed the plot at the same time as the episodes; fans finished it in one evening, on a double screen.

“VR” (2024)
The most singular experience: you play as Vecna, from his fall into the Upside Down in 1979 to his 1986 hunt, with his powers, the minds of the victims, and the hive. The game revisits Season 4 from inside the monster and explains, as you play, scenes the show had shown from the outside. Short, unsettling, reserved for VR headsets.
The Demogorgon in Dead by DaylightThe 2019 chapter made the Demogorgon a playable killer, with Nancy and Steve as survivors and the lab as a map. Pulled in 2021 then put back in 2023, it is the show's most successful guest in another game.
The guests: Fortnite, Roblox and the others
Since 2019, the show appears in Fortnite every season, with outfits of Eleven, Hopper, Vecna, and the creatures, portals to the Upside Down and, for the last season, a whole island. Roblox has had its town world, and several mobile puzzle games have carried the show's name. None is a real game; they are visits.
And off screen
The show also has its board games: a Monopoly, a Clue, an attack card game, and above all a Dungeons and Dragons starter set that picks up Mike's campaign, “Hunt for the Thessalhydra,” with a Demogorgon figure. It is the game most faithful to the show, since it is the group's.

Dead by Daylight: the 2026 return
The asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight, where a killer hunts survivors, hosted the show twice. In 2019, a first chapter made the Demogorgon a playable killer, with Nancy and Steve as survivors and Hawkins Lab as a map. On January 27, 2026, a month after the finale, a second chapter added Eleven, Dustin, Robin, and Eddie as survivors, and Vecna as a killer.
It is the show's longest-running collaboration with a game: the characters stay playable between seasons, and the second chapter was one of the first pieces of merch after the finale. For fans, playing Eddie fleeing Vecna in a horror game is a way to replay season 4 with another possible ending.

Where to start, depending on what you like
For the 80s mood, The Game from 2017 remains the most faithful: its pixel graphics, its map of Hawkins and its puzzles look like the games the party could have played at the Palace Arcade. To play as two, 3: The Game from 2019 follows season 3 scene by scene, from the mall to the Russian base, with Steve, Robin, Erica and the others. For the fear, Dead by Daylight, with Vecna since 2026.
Stranger Things VR, in 2024, is the strangest: you play Vecna himself, in the Upside Down and in his victims' minds, which makes it less a fan game than a villain experience. No game adapts season 5 to date; the animated series and the figures have taken over.
